Kristine (Tina) Marcuz, M.A., L.P.C., N.C.C.

I received my masters degree in Counseling from Oakland University and began my affiliation with the Counseling Center for Women in 1999. I am licensed by the State of Michigan and nationally board certified (NBCC). My work centers on individual therapy with adults and adolescents as well as developing and facilitating women’s support groups. I would describe my theoretical approach as eclectic with a strong emphasis on cognitive-behavioral techniques.  My mission is to provide each individual a safe, comfortable and confidential environment to express their needs, establish their goals and begin the process of reaching their full potential. My work with clients includes a variety of issues including, but not limited to: self-esteem, development of healthy life skills, relationships, life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss.

I am a longtime Rochester resident and the mother of two adult daughters. Some of my favorite outside interests include travel, cooking and outdoor activities.

“What I like most about change is that it’s a symbol of hope. If you are taking a risk, what you are really saying is ‘I believe in tomorrow and I will be part of it.’”
